I recently discovered that I have worn through the sole on my right bedroom slipper. I have no idea how or why. I’ve even checked my other shoes and none of them show the same wear pattern. I’m not a morning person, so I’m pretty sure I’m not pirouetting my way through the house in the mornings. Or am I?π€π©°
At one point, my son’s shoes had the same wear pattern as your slippers–one sole gone and one intact. Because one foot was on his scooter and one was pushing it. So clearly you scooter around the house.

Perhaps you pivot more on the right foot?

Maybe? I’ll be interested to see if the same thing happens to my new slippers.

Are you right-handed, so you maybe have a dominant foot too and may step down harder on that foot? For all the walking I do, I don’t notice it in my walking shoes, but they have heavy soles. My slippers don’t last like they used to. Dearfoams would last a few years, now the heelpieces get flimsy and flatten down.

I am right-handed (and right-eyed based on my college archery class). I wouldn’t be surprised if my right foot is dominant as well. These slippers were Dearfoams and were maybe a couple of years old, if that.

Interesting about having the dominant right eye for archery class. That does make sense then … stepping off with your right foot more. Dearfoams have been my go-to slippers for years – I don’t know what happened to this last pair with the heels. I don’t like scuffs – I would wipe out in a minute if I wore them. π

Are you a speed demon? ‘Cause it kinda looks like you have a lead foot there!

Careful. I don’t want you to trip!

Very strange! You will be thinking about it when you walk now. Lol
