  1. Oh my goodness! We have two more months at least before we can hope to see this! Can the peach blossoms be far off? As I write this comment, it is 15 degrees, with a real feel of -12 and snowing (4 inches of snow already). Ugh!

    • This is going to be one of those years where the plants suffer due to the erratic temperatures. We should have another month before we start seeing blooms. The week of Christmas, temps were in the upper 70s. The high today will be 44 and we have a chance of snow on Sunday. The poor plants are so confused.

      • Oh no – yes it confuses the plants and the trees. We had a very warm April about 10 years ago and all the trees leafed out, the cherry and apple blossoms, then we had a hard freeze and the leaves got freezer burn and the crops literally died. I may have told you about the apples and cherries as they had to order cherries from Washington for the Traverse City Cherry Festival and many of the cider mills had to order applies from big apple-producing states or their biggest sales of the year would have tanked.
