We prefer to stop at travel centers such as Love’s, etc. when we are on the road. Naturally, the signs for “Mom approved restrooms” at the Sapp Bros. travel center in Wyoming caught our attention and the reality did not disappoint. Around here, folks make a big deal about Buc-ees; in my opinion, Buc-ees doesn’t hold a candle to Sapp Bros.

We’ve liked Love’s over the years and only have been to one Buc-ees, in a small town in the middle of nowhere. I like the Sapp Bros’s sign, though. Made me smile

We now have a Buc-ees less than 5 miles away. I went once just to say I’ve been. I’m not a fan of their corporate attitude toward truckers so I’ll give them as little of my business as possible.

I’ve never seen a Sapp Bro’s. If I do, we will be sure to stop! We usually stop at Love’s. I want a nice bathroom, too! My husband would not like Buc-ees – too crowded. He does not like waiting in lines or shopping. On another subject, I just finished reading a book by Dorothea Benton Frank, “Queen Bee.” Based on one of your posts, I think you’d like it.

I’m with Dan. The Buc-ees near us is *always* packed. Thanks for the tip about “Queen Bee”; I just looked it up and it sounds like a fun read. I’m adding it to my list now!

PS I tried to leave an Amazon book review on The Nerd in Shining Armor, but I don’t know if it posted. I LOVE that book SO much!!!!! It’s sweet, clever, and funny. Plus, the cats characters are awesome! Bravo!

That’s why we prefer the larger travel centers; their restrooms are usually in good shape. Other places, not so much. Sadly, sometimes those options are the only ones available.

Most of them seem to be regional. The Sapp Bros. was in Wyoming. Buc-ees seems to be a southern thing. When we traveled up the eastern coast last year, Sheetz was our go-to stop in the northern states.
